Poor dog, let's hope they throw the book at the scumbag responsible.

I think he was detained under the mental health act. But obviously he came out with the intend to commit violence as he came out armed with a kitchen knife and a golf club.

The dog was really brave as despite being injured he kept him detained.

It would have been better if the police were armed and they just took the offender out with one shot to the head. The way the system works this offender is likely to be back out on the streets and at high risk of killing someone at some point. As long as the situation is filmed I think it is totally justified to shot such violent offenders. This isn't ideal I know but we have finite resources.
