Police in Pakistan Arrest Restaurant Workers for Not Giving Free Burgers

In the News

The police arrested nine fast food workers for refusing to give them free burgers

So there was a takeaway but it was the staff and not the burgers

If i didnt know better i would say i was being told a 'whopper'

I wouldnt say this was corruption on a large scale compared to drug dealing or other serious matters where corrupt police are involved D

The officers here were dealt with and i dont think they will be going after freebies anytime in the near future

telmel OK fair enough. I just heard a bit about this recently and it's unbelievable what happens elsewhere around the world with police.

Years ago I worked on an ice cream van. I Tried giving the policemen a free ice cream. They wasn’t allowed to take it as it could be considered as a bribe.

Must be horrific to live in a country with that level of corruption, it's bad enough in most countries but this is another level.

Unfortunately corruption in the police force is rife all over the world B, even in the UK, in fact there is an investigation going on now , a bit more serious than the burger case

telmel I'm not going to defend that but I don't think that compares to the completely open corruption of Pakistan police officers.
