Popeye's in U.K.

Other

One of America's favorite fast food chain's opened in Britain, but there's like just.. one?

Prices are good and the food looks better than McD/KFC:

Hopefully they'll be added to Uber Eats so it can be delivered (Stratford is a bit too far for me).

Probably with a burger.

In U.S., they have a fast food chain called SONIC like the animal and video game.

These dudes ate at SONIC and were talking about the game franchise.

I’ve tried it abroad previously and it’s just ok, nothing special. The queues for the one in Stratford is ridiculous - I’d wait till the hype dies down before trying it over here

Huh, queues. Didn't think people were that aware of it.

Always wanted to visit one of these. Me and my partner were gunna visit one in New York but the holiday got cancelled for obvious reasons. Glad they have finally opened one up over here.

I remember seeing some article where a business owner ran both franchise restaurants/takeaways and his own independent restaurants/takeaways and it was stated with the franchise business he had to pay more for some of the food and ingredients he had to use as its was approved by the franchise business but it was both more expensive and inferior quality to what he could source himself. The end result was he was charging customers about 20% more in the franchise business for inferior food but was selling more food and so made more money despite the lower margin. However his own businesses were growing steadily by people being more satsified with the food and pricing.

So try your local independent takeaways if you can you may find them better for less. A franchise business can have huge overheads which you have to pay on top for buying food there.

Not really a big fan of fast food it's ok now and again but can get better cheaper at home

Especially burgers, its so easy to make nicer burgers than McDonalds and Burger King at home for a fraction of the price. You don't have to be a cooking genius to make a fantastic burger.

Yeah, it's cheaper and nicer to make it yourself, but I want to try it as an experience. I stopped going to McD/KFC/BK because the food quality wasn't very good, but for the prices they are it's not surprising.

KFC's fried chicken has no flavor, it's just.. fried chicken.

PhilipMarc I must admit I love kfc chicken. My idea of heaven is a bucket of their chicken and fries all to myself but I probably have it no more than about once every 2 years on average so definitely not the best customer. I've never had fried chicken at home as nice.
