Waitrose is the one that comes to mind. Can't think of any others it could be. Though Waitrose does sometimes sell some products cheaper, but I rarely go since most of their stuff is overpriced in comparison to others.

Wouldn't call Waitrose Posh, their stores are no different to anyone elses . I suppose they carry a more upmarket range of products thou, they certainly charge a lot more than others even for everyday items

I'd say the large American owned chain Whole Foods Market, but at the moment they only have stores in London. Although, they do have an online store on Amazon (which is also the parent company).

... The Simpsons did a good Whole Foods parody (there used to be a link here, but the video clip is no longer available)

ACR yes, that summed it up. I went to a whole foods store once. My dad said to me if I saved up for a whole year, I might be able to afford 3 items. He wasn't wrong. That was the only time I went and I bought nothing.

I'd say Marks and Spencers foodhalls and the supermarkets within the main shops although I suspect there are probably high end shops in London for the rich. Waitrose I'd definitely put second to M & S. I occasionally shop in waitrose just to get the free coffee and pick up short life items and their offers and it amazes me when someone has a huge trolley full of items and their bill comes to over £150 and I'm thinking how much they could save by going elsewhere with just one shop they could save £30-40, do that on a weekly basis and you have saved about £2000 in a year which could be a holiday or something. They then serve me afterwards with my 4 items most of which are reduced.

Marks and Spencers are so expensive, they beat Waitrose in all way. Also if u signed up to Waitrose card they send u vouchers....which makes them cheaper than to shop in Tesco. Also one of the best places to use coupons.

Marks & Spencer are expensive.

Trouble is all the food I've ever had from there has been delicious.

Marks & Spencer’s food halls definitely. Love the food from there just can’t really justify the price tag!

It's not exactly a supermarket, but I'd probably say Costco.

I can say Waitrose but always less stock for me Tesco because I can find everything there there’s no need to go somewhere else if they got less stock for me that’s a show off if you’re buy a water bottle and holding in posh supermarket bag people might think oh looks like rich guys or ladies but if you got same bottle cheaper then other people will think O there’s must b a Sale in Tesco my vote Tesco and Asda 😊🙏🏻

Waitrose do stock a large number of higher quality items, such as the Duchy brand, but it’s no longer posh. I’d say even 2 years ago, when this was posted, it has lost its posh image - ever since they gave away free drinks with their loyalty card

Waitrose is genuinely the poshest. I used to go to College with a lot of horse obsessed middle class kids and they all shopped/worked at Waitrose. M&S just sells really good quality food which is worth every penny.

I think in terms of chains Waitrose or Marks and Spencer's food hall otherwise it would be Harrods or Fortnum & Masons. But I'm at the other end of the spectrum at Aldi & Farm Foods😊

I don't have the choice of such luxury. Morrisons, Asda or Herons 🙂
