Why do posts get deleted with no explanation?
It would be helpful if you received an explanation as to why something was deleted so that you can try and avoid the same on your next share..
I have emailed the team to see what they come back with 
There is usually a notification top right if something is deleted, something like sorry this is a duplicate, or whoops you were pipped to the post.
Thank you Lynibis, I know what you are referring to as I had the same notification for a competition which someone had beaten me to!
However I posted a couple of freebies yesterday one of them being for free innocent seeds packs so you can grow your own veg at home, no postage charges - this was deleted and said it did not meet the quality guidelines.. I have since seen someone share the exact same freebie and not had theirs removed. Also my other freebie posted was deleted for the same reason but again have since seen a very similar post to do with coffee. It’s very strange that mine are getting delete but others aren’t?
Afraid I can't help you with that AliceBell64468. Maybe someone reported yours but the other person has gotten away with it as I doubt they can check every post. I am sure the team will give you a valid explanation so do please keep us up to date on this thread so we don't do the same thing.
AliceBell64468 Are you sure that for the seeds was a Freebie?
I've just checked it out and in my opinion free entry to a competition does not (or should not) qualify as a Freebie. It perhaps qualifies for entry in "Competitions".
Note it says "Chance to WIN". 
davidstockport many thanks for posting the finer details, I would actually agree this should be a competition instead of a freebie. Mine was deleted all together rather than re categorised, and it is still currently listed as freebie from a different user, which was not deleted. Thanks again for your reply
AliceBell64468 Glad to see you agree that it should be under competitions. I did post a comment on the relisting of it (just before replying to your posting) I don't bother reporting such things any longer I got tired of "it looks like your report was incorrect" messages and 5 points deducted, too many of those can result in being unable to comment any more. The wonderful team of mentors don't seem to understand when freebies that aren't freebies (or complete rip-offs) are reported.

Our wonderful team of mentors handles a lot of the reports and to save time and keep things standardised we have a predefined set of reasons for why a post is removed. Unfortunately in some cases it doesn't fit within one of these reasons and so you get a more generic message pointing you towards our guidelines.
The guidelines should contain everything you can/can't do on LD but if you're ever unsure please do drop us a message with the contact form and the post in question and we can look into it for you.
After the LD app launches an area I hope to work on is increasing/improving the messaging when a post is removed from LD so everyone understands why 
Hello Kelsey, thank you for your response! I have sent an email in to yourselves to see why my freebies were deleted, I can see that the freebie I shared yesterday was deleted but reposted by another user and it is still live. I will await a response from the team. Thank you
I will check the Freebies section, but you can report a post whenever you find there's something wrong with the post.
