Poundland Self Service Checkouts

The voice that these machines are terrible but this is so wrong so embarrassing for the customer just watched a twitter video where someone's card was declined did the whole shop really need to hear this
Ive never know this to happen in my local poundland self service checkouts i agree the whole shop didnt need to hear that her card was declined.
Surely should be onscreen only stating please use another card. I was in a queue once where a posh woman had her card declined and the man waiting behind her joked 'it looks like you have taken your credit to the limit' she was not amused to say the least and explained that she had used her old credit card by mistake but was clearly embarrassed.
How embarrassing for the customer . Sometimes my card is declined in stores for no apparent reason, try it again and it goes through no problem ,
Lol I know they do the voices for Halloween but definitely not needed all year round. But any announcements with specific to the customers is wrong - I’d complain
I hate all these silly voices in the self check out at Poundland. You only want to pay, you don't need a silly voice telling you what to do. And I haven't had any problems with my payment. Personal comments to a particular customer must not be public, it's so embarrassing
The Poundland ones are quite loud sometimes and they always have annoying voices, before they have had Elvis themed ones, and at Christmas time they normally put a Santa voice on them as well! Abit annoying but fun for kids I guess lol x
This might link to it - if not I'll remove post.

To hear - You will probably have to unmute it - by clicking on the speaker symbol underneath.
While I've never had this issue in Poundland. My card has been declined on a few first attempts before. I wasn't that fussed when I got an audible message. The card was always accepted on a second attempt. I find if you mainly make a lot of purchases using contactless payment every now and again it'll fail and you'll be prompted to pay using your pin number. This maybe a security check by your bank to make sure everything is OK.
I haven't seen the video you're referring to, but the person who posted the video is the one embarrassing the customer. Why were they filming in the first place? Otherwise only a few strangers would have heard the message and it would have soon been forgotten.
