What Do You Prefer Bath or Shower?

Ask a Question

I like to have a long relaxing bath in the evening, whilst I do shower, my preference is a long soak, however my husband and son never use the bath. What do you prefer, and do you think it's a gender thing?

If I've got the time ,I prefer a bath.I rarely have the time though. It may be a male/female thing because my boyfriend only uses the shower.

I prefer a nice bath if I have the time to enjoy it, but I usually don't so I take showers most of the time.

I prefer to shower since I struggle to get in and out of the bath.

I was about to say same. I am like a beached whale and have to do some fairly ungainly looking manoeuvres to get in and out, so it's showers all the way for me now!

Lynibis It takes all the pleasure out of relaxing in the bath for me if I can’t get out again. So yes, showers all the way!

Baths can be relaxing, but I prefer to shower as you are then getting clean fresh water all the time.

Read a book or watch your tablet propped up, away from the water of course. Maybe even a glass of what you fancy 🍷

I prefer to have a bath. I love to use my bath bombs and bubble bath. I just wish bath bombs weren't so expensive

Shower most of the time just for the quickness, love to have a nice soak in the bath only when it's bitterly cold and snowing, sometime the only way to warm your bones 😄

I like baths especially if it’s cold and the muscles or joints ache. But showers are more practical and convenient

I prefer shower. I don't have a bath anyway. When I had one I'd propbably have a couple baths a year to relax

I have a bath 95% of the year.. I’m obsessed with baths.. very occasionally have a shower, usually only when staying with other people or in a huge rush!

I much prefer to have a shower then sitting in a bath full of my dirty water. Also I have a hot tub which I use, when I’m clean, so much nicer than a bath.

There was a small piece in the news today about the benefits of taking a bath:

I prefer a shower because it's quicker, but in the winter I sometimes have a bath to warm myself up.

I love a long soak in the bath after a busy or stressful day to unwind with a nice luxury bubble bath but most of the time I shower as its quicker and more convenient
