Do You Prefer Physical Books or Ebooks?
Other
Before I had my Kindle I absolutely didn't want one. Now I love it. No need to bring 4 books on a holiday anymore which leaves space in my suitcase! And it's so easy to hold.
I'm the same - would be lost without my Kindle - upgraded to paperwhite last year and it's even better. Means I don't have to turn the light on to read when I wake in the middle of the night. I like that I can change the size of the text, it's clear to read in sunlight, lightweight, fits in my handbag. The only downside is you read a brilliant book and you can't pass it on when you've finished like a normal book.
We love our kindles! Saves so much room as you don't need to take loads of books, you can have loads of different books in the one place. We still have normal books in the house, but kindles are just brilliant.
I love kindle too . When lying in bed I can stay on one side rather than turning my body over every time I turn a page in a book. If you are an avid bedtime reader you will know exactly what I mean.
A Kindle is certainly convenient when going on holiday. But, otherwise I still prefer a physical book
I think I prefer a phisical books but to be honest I have never tried a kindle so can't compare. Also I can see that kindle could be very convenient, especially on the go!
I adamantly persisted with books until I decided to give kindle a go, now I wouldn't be without and so much easier without all that page turning. Bit like 'I don't need a dishwasher' but then after using it not wanting to be without one!
Call old fashioned, but I love the feel, smell, texture and weight of a good book in my hands. I cannot bear my kindle that was given to me. I also gift books I have read to charity. Not sure you can gift books on a kindle for charity. Perhaps you can?!
No, but you can share amongst family and friends, browse an amazon extensive library, bring up up all the books by specific authors, search by genre, speedily 'go to' a previous chapter, make notes etc. Too extensive to list here.
