Wow...hahaha.....surprise surprise...but probably no one knows if they got a wrong one, because after the midwife do a test anyways on the first appointment.

My doctors and midwife didn't do a second test with either of my babies. I was told that it's a waste of nhs money to retest as home tests are so accurate. There could be quite a few heartbroken women after this. Some may not find out there's no pregnancy until the 12week scan if their doctors are frugal like mine.

Tasha042 They did test me...what a waste of money? They hang a piece of sheet in the pee and it changes color...or not...how much it can cost??????less than 50p....NHS test is cheaper than the other ones.

AgnesFaludi yes I know 😂 they just cut corners where they can I guess. It didn't bother me at the time as I'd used 3 different tests to be sure myself. But i guess most women just trust one.

Tasha042 They tested my blood group 3 times....that can cost a fortune. I got transfered from one hospital to an other during pregnancy and they did not transfer my files. I needed to do the test again and than when I was giving birth they did it again to make it sure. Even I know my blood type since I am a child....

The midwife did a test when I went to see her, but she never actually said it was to check for pregnancy. She was also testing the amount of protein. Plus I was 12 weeks when I went to see her. I have my bloods tested every 2 weeks due to my blood group, so they have probably spent a fortune on me!

I only did the one test, but I knew it would be positive before I took it. I have never trusted the digital tests, not sure why, just haven't.

Inaccurate pregnancy testers can be a good cure for hiccoughs 🙂
