A spokesperson said that any Primark staff affected by store closures would receive full pay for their contracted hours for 14 days.
And James Daunt, the boss of Waterstones, said his bookshops provided an "important social resource" and would stay open until forced to close.
Not many people are shopping atm, so it makes sense to shut. However, I understand Waterstones’ stance, as store closure for some businesses may be the last straw
