Primark Plans to Open 24hr a Day for Christmas

In the News

Primark will be glad to know they've come up with a fantastic solution to this issue.

Opening their stores for 24 hours a day in December of course.

What do you think of Primark's plan to open for such long hours in December?

There isn't a lot of detail about this plan yet. Primark hasn't specified which stores will be open for 24 hours and how many days in December it will happen.

It’ll give shoppers the opportunity to visit at odd hours, hopefully to avoid the crowds, and staff will get to earn some money. I don’t see the problem

lmao. People queuing up for substandard quality clothes.

I think this would be great for other shops to maybe adopt too. Also the government could extend Sunday trading hours too, as a one off, to ease crowding in the run up to Christmas. It will also give workers the opportunity to earn some extra cash if they wish to.

I hope my wife doesn't see this. Last time she dragged me in a Primark I asked if she was aiming on stopping in there all day!

Yes I also think it’s great way for compensating a little, for whatever they have gone through

As a guy, I just don't like clothing stores. I rather visit electrical, hardware, food, agricultural, software and such stores.

I think due to lockdown they are desperate to recoup some of their lost income, hopefully they give more £ to their staff plus make allowances for people who can't work nights due to caring commitments

It's not somewhere I shop, so the prospect of going there at 4 am isn't appealing. If it happens I hope they pay staff more for working unsociable hours. Although, is there really a need or demand for this, as there aren't exactly going to be a lot of Christmas parties or events and New Year celebrations are likely to be scaled back or cancelled.

This will be useful for anyone working nights that usually finds it difficult to get into their stores during opening hours (my local Primark is usually only open from 11am-6pm).

1 problem with this but it really does open such a can of worms.I really do appreciate the type of year numerous businesses have had but the poor staff working throughout Christmas while the bosses sit at home @ the money they are making . There was a time when Christmas was be with your family ,relax and then head out to rest of your family on boxing day .If Primark want to open 24 hours tell them to start a website .

I do think it’s a good idea but the poor staff. Lol.

On a serious note, I do hope they up the security if they are going to be open all night. I feel like It would make them a big target.

Probably good for the public but hope the staff will be paid correct for working crazy hours.

Never shop there so irrelevant to me but I'd say 24hr bit excessive

I would prefer if Primark would sell their stuff online as well as in store.
