I Have a Question for You All
Ask a Question
Does anybody know any of these people?
No. I don't think so.
Edit: I know who two of them are. But just like with others, I don't know who the middle one is.
That's what I was thinking (definite about JC) - I don't know either of them personally though and don't mind if it stays that way. I can't work out who the middle one is though.
davidstockport To come to think of it, I now recognise JC.
But I don't personally know any of these people, and have no desire to.
davidstockport I think the middle one might be George Peppard from The A-Team
zerocenturyzero I didn't know who George Peppard was (I've never seen the A team) I'm probably wrong but after looking at online pictures I don't think it's him, nose shape doesn't seem to match.
zerocenturyzero Nose seems to be wrong shape though - although ear seems similar. I'm trying to ignore the moustache - it looks false in middle picture,
Similar but loads older and George Peppard looks to have more of a chiselled face when he was younger and the middle photo although younger is more chutchy lol OMG this could go on for weeks, what's the closing date of the Competition ROTFL
JoTarpley I agree. Eyes are similar, but otherwise they both look completely different.
And yes, this thread could go on for ages yet. But it is becoming pretty interesting though.
Well the first one is Jeremy Corbyn when he was younger, they showed an old film clip of him on the Anglia News a few months back so I recognise him from that, the 3rd one is Katie Price as she likes to be known nowadays, the middle one I'm puzzled with, it can't be George Peppard as the eyebrows and nose are different, it does look like an actor though, perhaps in an old war film going by the colour of his shirt and could that be fencing of a prison camp behind him, or a tent in the desert somewhere like It Ain't 'Alf Hot Mum, does that help anybody??
It's the nose though, I don't think so, it's getting to bug me now as he seems familiar......
JoTarpley It's been bugging me too, some I've tried to check out are Ron Fraser, Tom Selleck and David Walliams. It looks like we've got another poster who posts topics then takes no further interest in them. If he/she sees this he/she might know that most who've done that get little interest shown in future topics.
At least some "clue" would show some interest in his/her own topic. I notice he/she joined on the day he/she posted this topic.
davidstockport It can be a little frustrating when people post topics and then don't ever bother with engaging in that topic. I too am now curious as to who that person is. I now recognise Jeremy Corbyn and Katie Price however.
RegularComper90 I have face recognition problems, but know I know the face from somewhere. I have a feeling the moustache is false and it's someone we're more used to seeing without one. I've also wondered (probably wrongly) if it's a female.
Well spotted David, I often check but didn't this time, it's odd that there is nothing else showing there though, no Comp. entries, no hearts etc. no more points earned, it's almost like this whole thing was a question in a Competition and it was posted here to see if anyone knew the answer!?
davidstockport I am adamant that the person is male.
However, you never know these days. (Assuming it's a recent photo)
But it can certainly be frustrating when you recognise someone or something but can't put a name to them.
JoTarpley It was asked "Does anybody know any of these people?" Whereas it probably should have asked "Does anybody know who these people are?"
I left my first response until someone else assumed (as I suspected) that the question had been badly phrased.
The first one was too obvious to be a competition question.
Ah! It's not obvious if you don't know the answer though is it David, hence the posting 'Does anybody know any of these people?' LOL
The other 2 aren't recent photos and I don't feel the middle one is recent either, I'm very sure it's male though, I'm still thinking it's some sort of desert set war type film maybe from the 60s?
RegularComper90 he might know. I could ask him. Wish someone would know who he is. It's begging me.
A friend knew the face but couldn't remember the name - he thought it was an English actor who played Irish parts . He thought he'd now be in mid 70s. Does that help anyone?
You are really determined to find out who this person is aren't you?
But then again, I too am interested now.
RegularComper90 It's annoying I know the face but can't remember who it belongs to - I'll keep trying - I don't give in too easily I've put the picture on my mobile phone and am asking everyone I talk to.
davidstockport Please come back with the responses that you receive as I think it has been bugging a few of us.
RegularComper90 If I do find the answer (it may take years) I will tag every person who has shown any interest. I had a similar experience last year, I knew a tune knew how to play it but couldn't recall the title, I asked every musician friend I knew then asked someone I never expected to know - who came up with the answer almost instantly.
Guy in the middle reminds me of jim fletcher from h block but the pic reminds me of something like tenko x
LD can be a bit oversensitive at times. In this case, when you mentioned the name 'D i c k' it thought that you were referring to the vulgar type.
You've got to say DlCK STRAWBRIDGE (Lower case L in DlCK) I discovered that when writing about BLUE TlTS in my garden.
Added by EDIT: I see that didn't work you can say TlTS but not DlCK - using a lower case L in place of an i.
davidstockport just out of sheer curiosity and devilment at opening an old chat, did you ever work out who the middle one is? Stanley Johnson?
lilyflower Someone said they knew but wouldn't name him. Did you mean Stanley Johnson (Boris's father) I doubt it but there is a slight resemblance to Don Johnson.
RegularComper90 Hi I don't recognise him. I can't believe they didn't put the answer
Dani1 The same "Quiz" came up a few months later (or possibly earlier) - same people but different pictures. So the poster knew the answers (if access to different pictures). . . I think I've thought of the answer " Is it the Troll's milkman?"
From memory the other time the poster only had one post on this forum before they left too.
davidstockport Just found that other thread: https://www.latestdeals.co.uk/chat/does-anyone-recognise-people-anywhere
RegularComper90 Thank you - and as you will probably have noticed I pointed out then that the middle "mystery man's" picture was different than the one on this Topic - and the one on the left was a different person.
The general feeling is that it was George Peppard - I'm not altogether convinced
davidstockport Hi, I just had a look at the thread RegularComper90 just posted and I agree. It's probably is the troll's milkman or the troll themselves
RegularComper90 thanks so much It's definitely a wind up as how easy is David Beckham x
davidstockport We have a much clearer view of his face in this one He doesn't look like George Peppard to me tbh
Dani1 A friend who saw the picture said he definitely knew him but couldn't name him, then a few weeks later said he'd seen who it was in the film "A Hill in Korea" but didn't get his name from the credits. (It could be one of the Bakers)
