Would You Queue Overnight in the Cold for IKEA?
Ask a Question
Lots of people have waited overnight for the chance to buy IKEA's limited edition collection by fashion designer and Louis Vuitton Men's Artistic Director Virgil Abloh - https://www.mirror.co.uk/lifestyle/gallery/ikea-superfans-queue-overnight-launch-20790163
I quite like the receipt rug, but there isn't anything in the collection that would make me want to queue overnight. I wonder how many of the buyers are re-sellers that will flip the item when they get home.
You can see the collection here - https://www.dezeen.com/2019/10/10/virgil-abloh-markerad-collection-ikea-launches-usa/
The longest I've waited to buy a limited item was 5 hours, but that was in the summer with nice weather.
Have you camped out for hours to purchase something?
No way Jose! I can't stand Ikea but having said that i would not queue overnight even for something I really loved!
Not a chance, I hate waiting 10min let alone the rest lol. And wow waiting all that time for stuff that looks like that?!?! Guess someone has to like it..
I bet it's quite good fun if you have enough layers on and just gave a good chat with people. I've done this kind of thing years ago when I was a student, it's not too bad if you have good company.
Yes, it can be good fun when you start to talk to others in the queue. Although, it has to be for something that is very limited that I really want. Otherwise, I wouldn't bother.
No, it would be my idea of hell. Firstly queueing for hours and then getting into the shop with hundreds of people all trying to get to the same things, makes me shudder just thinking of it.lol.
easy answer to that question, is a big fat no I would rather go without than queue overnight
