Quidco and Topcashback
Money Saving
Wondering what the perks/differences are between quidco and topchashback. You can't use both at the same time right?
For those of you that use these, do you just use one or both? Do you have both and use whichever has the better cashback rate for where you're purchasing from?
I have quidco and love this but not sure whether to also get topcashback
I have been using both TCB and Q for 14 years and use whichever has the better cashback rate for the merchant i want to shop at. Top tip though just in case you dont know, always make sure you clear cookies before using either to make sure your purchase tracks successfully.
That's good advice, thank you, I hadn't thought about clearing cookies but will do so in future
I only use Quidco nowadays.
I used to use Topcashback but had a problem with some cashback not tracking.
I know they say cashback isn't guaranteed, but when it's £50 it's a bit galling.
They also seemed uninterested in helping me, and the claim was closed,
Oh I'll keep that in mind, I've had a few issues with cashback not tracking on Quidco but every time it has been resolved quickly and with no hassle
I tend to use TCB as their customer service seems to be better.
I gave them a nudge recently about my Sky Mobile cashback, and they paid me out within a week.
Oh wow that's good that they sorted it, seems others haven't had such luck, perhaps it's just a case of luck or dependent on the retailer
I have accounts with both but use Topcashback more out of the two.I'd also echo what others have said about clearing cookies and comparing cashback rates before making a purchase.
I use topcashback more than quidco but for some reason quidco always tracks better for ebay. I've had declined cashback with topcashback and their cashback guarantee is useless at matching quidco. Both good sites overall.
I'll keep that in mind for eBay, and that topcashback isn't as reliable in general, thank you
Yes I'm always careful to check this as I know in most cases you can't use both and often I find that there's a better saving with a voucher code, thank you for adding this!
I normally find cashback is less than a voucher discount so try for both and many times it works, i.e. used 10% voucher and still get 3% cashback, at worst the cashback will be refused.
I’ve had well over £1000 on TCB and had well over £100 declined. Didn’t know you could actually question why cashback hadn’t been paid
As I remember it you can raise a cashback claim.
If you go down that route I hope you have better luck than me.
blacklabrador unless it was a large amount to be honest with you I really don’t think I could be bothered
I used topcashback for a couple of months before stopping bothering with it.. I found every purchase didn’t get approved - it was always left as pending by the seller, especially with ebay sales.. it just wasn’t worth the effort when you got 1% back and most purchases didnt get approved
I've had over £3000 from Quidco and Topcashback over the years. I don't really use them that often, but it's been great for car insurance and mobile contracts.
And there was a couple of years when we took out breakdown cover with Green Flag and the cashback basically covered the whole premium.
I have had to raise a couple of tickets because cashback hasn't tracked, but I've mostly been successful.
Most recent was £30 cashback on a £6pm mobile contract with Sky, so that's basically 5 months free over the 12 month contract
That’s brilliant, I think for insurance etc it’s probably unbeatable, I have more experience using it for other shopping/orders
Topcashback is good and I have been using it for years- has a large number of retailers that give cashback and even offers for free cashback and snap and save on groceries. I havn't really used quidco much though- I never earnt any cashback on there but use their partner website checkout smart. Overall they are all good for deals and freebies and would recommended topcashback especially
That’s good to hear, thank you! I’m the opposite I’ve used Quidco a lot (for maybe 2 years) and not very familiar with TCB, Quidco is really good and I’d recommend it to anyone, I‘ve very rarely had any issues and when I have they’ve been sorted very quickly
Quidco is go for booking.com. I keep forgetting to go through it when ordering stuff lol
I’ve forgotten to use it a few times and it’s frustrating when its a big purchase, ordered festival tickets on Ticketmaster last year (came to nearly £500) and forgot to use Quidco then, that was annoying lol
lornaae Yep tell me about, i done alot of house renovations last year and ordered alot of stuff online and completely forgot about and i spent in the thousands lol
TSB are not good for cash back I have been waiting since August 19 for payment and customer service are not interested
