Quidco vs Topcashback

Other

Which do you prefer and why?

Also which is more reliable for you in terms of tracking and payout?

For me I prefer topcashback!

I find TCB far more reliable with tracking, payouts and back claims whereas Quidco feels like a matter of luck whether you get it or not.

A small update, the £2.50 is "pending" whatever that means exactly.

It's taking a while.

Topcashback is pretty good but their snapnsave isnt as good as Quidcos shopping deals.

Top cashback consistently have higher cashback than Quidco though!

I use both along with checkoutsmart , greendjinn and shopmium for saving money!

AMEX's cashback credit card is really good too. Reach £3k and at the end of the year (when the account was opened) they give £100, it's standard but still a nice tip.

Aqua does it too but their service, customer service and app are somewhat dated.

Rockman Asda used to be a good cashback but the Aqua reward is better i switched.

Use the Asda for 1% in Asda and Aqua everywhere else although I have a Halifax reward card that is ages old that also does 0.5% on petrol and shopping.

Funyn talking about a measly 0.5% i remember when bank interest rates were 6%.

Bygone days!

Lydskyd It's only 1% cashback but better than nothing, eh. AMEX does offer like 5% during the first three months so it can be somewhat easy to rank up for big spenders.

I used the £100 cashback from AMEX for a Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 and it was well worth it. Great tablet, but Android still can't beat Windows in many ways even though it's a superb operating system.

Rockman Yes but you have to spend something like £3000 which is no way for me!

I got the free £125 from M&S bank and waiting for the £20 voucher they promised on first £20 spend on Amazon credit card.

Yes agree windows is easier to use, its because Android is based on Linux which has always been a tricky OS to deal with - fixing an Android rom bootloader crash and loop is much more difficult than fixing a Windows bootloader corruption even on a phone!

In Slovakia everyone uses Android which is a shame as the Nokia Lumias were magic phones.

I have 5 mobiles one for each category lol

I did have an Apple once - a 4 but i sold it - very heavy it was but solid phone just not much fun!

Lydskyd I've been wanting to buy an Nvidia Shield but don't see any point to it. Have an Android TV Box which does what I want, a Samsung Galaxy Tab S2, an Android Phone with 3GB RAM/64GB so it'd be a waste of money, it seems.

Rockman My bf just bought a special box cant mention the name but if you connect it to a redundant virgin line it gives you all the channels for free and it also connects to our motorised satellite dish for freesat £50.

I live in a kind of technical warehouse of a flat lol

We even have a bedroom converted into a server room!

We are both techies im the programmer he is the electronics and gizmos man!

haha

😜

The new Doogee S70 fully waterproof phone looks majj it looks like a transformer but its a bit expensive £299.

Lydskyd frankly never understood why people bother paying $300~1000 for a phone when a really good one can be bought for less.

If it's because it has a quality camera, sure, but in that case might be better to buy an actual camera.

Btw, Mobdro is a neat app to watch TV but not exactly legal. 😜

Rockman You mean Apple lol

Yeah £1000 for a phone that costs more than a computer, i will never understand how so many people can be so brainwashed or have such large wallets!

Even if i won the lottery i dont think i would buy an Iphoney, ifannypad or i- anything!

And besides I never liked Steve Jobs he was a nasty piece of work!

Lydskyd iPhones and iPads are really good in terms of build quality but software and storage.. Android and Windows Phones are better, imo.

Apple customers pay £1k for a phone they'll change next year. 😐 I never understood the logic behind it, much less giving it to a child.

I joined Topcashback a week ago and think they are fantastic. I have made 4 purchases so far which I would have made anyway and they have tracked them emailed me and I already have over £5 with them. Tried to join Quidco a year ago but at the time the whole process seemed over complicated so cannot comment on how they are now. Hope you dont mind but can I have a rant about Amazon please as this site seems to promote it. I had never ordered from Amazon before and was looking for a memory box for my late Husband. who recently passed away so thought I might find something special which I did. I often order from Groupon and found code PRIMENOW10 on their website which was unsuccessful . By the way there is also a code on this website which I have commented on. but have not looked at code as the word Amazon upsets me NOW. !!! To cut a long story short I felt their offer of PRIMENOW10 was very misleading to someone who had never ordered from Amazon before. I joined Amazon PRIME and offer didnt work. I did speak and email them even getting as far as customer services director but in my request for the code to be honoured it fell on deaf ears. I think robots would have more compassion. I did place my order as I know my husband would have really loved it, so yes they do have items perhaps different on Amazon but a con site in my opinion

Amazon is great in my experience. If an order or the carrier goes wrong, they take care of it and it's solved in a matter of minutes.

I'm not really a fan of their Prime service but rarely buy from Amazon so it doesn't affect me.

Rockman Not great for sellers though but yes; Amazons refund program is good but it can work in favour of those who want to scam you so everything you send has to be recorded delivery which kills profits!
