Both reading with and reading to your kids will support them with their literacy skills. Which books will depend on their age/reading age and if they have any specific literacy learning needs. This website may help.

Reading is good habit for all the kids and adults and it will improve our internal communication with each others. Parents need to read the books to the kids then only kids will make the reading habit regularly so that they can have the interest to read it.

Tips:

-Take the kids to the library 📚 at every week.

-Read the story books which is Interested to the kids.

-while walking discuss with the kids about the stories.

You need to do both to help with their language skills. It depends what age your children are as to what books will help, but any book that is age appropriate will be good for them.

My 4 year old is so good at reading so so proud of her.I used to read to her with her repeating it back to me every night before she went to school and her teacher always ask me how i help her with reading they also say she is good at retelling the story she reads all the time...proud mother..I think both will help them either reading a book or parent reading with them.
