What a Kid Really Wants Vs Just Asking
Ask a Question
Do any parents of young children have any advice about telling the difference between what children really want for Christmas and what just popped into their head. I usually go for ones they keep asking for but have missed deals thinking they not really interested then keep getting asked and ended up paying more this is about younger children
The perennial problem! Maybe get them to write to Santa telling him what they would like. Then explain that they won’t receive subsequent requests as Santa won’t have it on his list. Young children can be very fickle and easily swayed by tv adverts.
Imnotcheap maybe he was taking it one step at a time, once he had the food, the cat would be next?
My son will be 2 next month. I buy him things I know he will like, he loves things that play music or makes sounds. I don't have the issue of him asking for things yet but I will go for things he has mentioned more than once or that I know he will definitely want.
I used to watch what they played with most at Toddler and playgroup and as they got older 'write to Santa' October half term and at the same time have a clear out of unused/wanted toys, they then shouted to the Elves to come and get them (I sold them to fund next delivery) because they know Santa only has limited amounts of toys and can't always afford new ones.
Until my son was about 9 he got whatever was in the sales, luckily it was mostly Lego & I never had any complaints, after that I used to ask him.
My daughter wants everything what she sees in the advertisements...but I am going to get her books.
She has lots of toys and decided to get only 1 toy and the rest will be educational. Lego dots are really cool...Girls can build and change their bracelets...
I think playdoh is really good and paints...kids love those...but honestly in the end, they end up playing with the empty boxes and they love balloons and none of them are expensive...
I don't have kids to buy for but the neighbours have three cute kids so have bought a kids book about captain sir Tom Moore their parents can read to them. Will also get them a game nearer the time.
