Receiving Amazon Credit From Free Glitch Orders

Freebies

Hi there, I recently discovered something that others may find useful regarding glitch orders on Amazon.

There was a deal recently involving light bulbs in which you could get them for free due to a glitch. However once they arrived, I found that they didn't fit my sockets so I had no use for them.

I checked the order details and noticed that the payment method showed on the statement as a 'gift card/promotional balance'.

So I thought I'd chat with an Amazon customer service assistant to see what they could do.

They said that they couldn't offer me a full cash refund due to the purchase method being a gift card, however they could credit my account with a promotional balance, valid with any Amazon sold and distributed product!

Just an interesting point for people. Makes me wonder if i could've order 100 light bulbs and had £500+ promotional credit 😕 Haha!
