Reciprocal Arrangement?

So, Prince Andrew has not cooperated in any way with USA over the Epstein affair. Not very princely of him, but a small part of me thinks that the USA deserves no assistance from the UK in view of their refusal to allow us to extradite the diplomat's wife who mowed down an innocent kid whilst driving on the wrong side of the road.

Maybe Andrew should do the decent thing and agree to cooperate if they send her back to face the music.

I totally agree with where you are coming from. I see it as they gave us that american woman who killed one of ours and they can happily take prince andrew.

Rightly or wrongly I have always thought of USA as being the World's bully, just as there is one in every classroom. They want to tell everyone else what to do and we all have to dance to their tune under threat of repercussions if we don't. They won't undertake to cut emissions and half the time have a belligerence that defies belief thinking they are answerable to no one. No wonder they call POTUS the leader of the free world.

I’ve seen this opinion a lot on twitter. It would be a good solution but I doubt the US would agree. Like someone else said they (I mean government not the people) are bullies and want everything their own way

I completely agree and have been muttering this all day. Perhaps he was given the wrong advice but he has put himself in an undefendable position, especially with that interview. I cannot understand how a mother can hide from her crime without any evident empathy for the other family.

I'm FURIOUS that the thought of a woman who killed a young man and bolted ...and there are talks about negotiations about DEALS to get her back here!!!!

She should face justice here... diplomatic immunity should be looked at ....

I totally agree with you. Why the hell should a UK person help the USA when they won't send back a guilty woman to serve a trial in the UK knowing full well she would be convicted.
