Reckon you know what time your child should be going to bed?
A school in the US produced a very detailed chart which says EXACTLY when your child should be getting the zzzs - based not only on their age but also when they woke up that morning.
I think every child is different but believe children need lots of sleep to grow and develop and some days they are more tired than others depending on the activities you have done that day. if you are having to wake your child in the morning I donโt think they was put in bed early enough.
I agree with that. On the whole I always felt I was battling to get young tumblespots to bed at a reasonable time. Peer pressure was partly to blame (at secondary school) although I don't think that they necessarily told each other the truth about the actual time they went to bed - lots of bravo and tall tale telling - which makes it harder on parents who want to ensure that their child gets enough sleep. 
tumblespots I remember wanting to go to bed late because o thought my friends did. But I am lucky with my 13 year old at around 8ish he says right mum Iโm going to bed now. I donโt think he always goes to sleep straight away but he is in bed which is the main thing.
tumblespots I am lucky. when he was younger though I would tell him it was later than what it was when he couldnโt tell the time haha
My 13 year old goes to bed at 9pm a bit later on weekends and holidays and he is up at 7. He really needs his sleep or he is in a mood all day 
Mine wasn't happy to go to bed that early which is probably why he was always grumpy!
