Yesterday I watched The Nice Guys (I'd give it an 8 or even a 9/10) and without spoiling too much I'll say that it was awesome, it had a feel of the 80's flicks.

As for a really old one, I'd go for the obvious and suggest Romeo and Juliet [1968]. Anyone that hasn't seen that masterpiece is doing a disservice to themselves!

Speaking of Romeo and Juliet.. wish it hadn't ended that way. *tears* Damn you, Shakespear! :(

I really enjoyed The Nice Guys as well. Shane Black is really talented. If you liked that then have you seen Kiss Kiss Bang Bang ? Also by Shane Black. He is doing a reboot of Predator next.

Fun fact he played Hawkins in the original Predator movie. The reason they hired him as an actor on it was because they thought they would get him to work on the script once in the jungle. He still didn't as he rightfully said the script was perfect. In that movie he can be seen reading a Doc Savage comic as he was trying to get a movie version made. He is now finally getting his wish and making it with the The Rock.

The documentary on Predator is so good.

Kiss Bang Bang -- Oh, I have not but since Justin Chatwin I'm going to watch it tomorrow or so. Ever since he left Shameless it's left me asking for Chatwinness. 👍

Edit: It's not Kiss Kiss Bang Bang but Bang Bang Baby.

Dread I really didn't like this! Thought the storyline was way too silly and 'cos it's all in the pub found it quite boring. Just my opinion!

Tom I can get that. It really did go quite weird. I watch a lot of straight to DVD though and thought this was one of the better ones.

I've always thought The Wanderers is a much better film than The Warriors.

Bash I love The Wanderers aswell. A classic but for me The Warriors was superior. Love Terror though and "Leave the kid alone" 😃

I watched one of his that passed me by the other week, the one about the death car. As with all his stuff, very different it certainly was. Once the first mini story had ended and moved onto the second, I thought wtf am I watching? Surely it cannot just be repetitive? I should have known better than to question Tarantino, lol. Turned out to be way different than it started.

Watched Doctor Strange yesterday - beat my expectations! Marvel films seem so formulaic that I didn't think it'd be good, but Cumberbatch is a great actor

Depending what you like, but even for me as a Jack the lad I enjoyed Stardust and I am not one for that kind of movie usually. Later 2000's but one to see if you never watched it.
