Did You Reduce the Amount of Easter Eggs You Purchased?

Ask a Question

Usually we have too many chocolate eggs. From family and friends and its usually too much!! I actually enjoyed the fact that the kids got one egg each and money from their grandparent and job done! They ate them for breakfast, saved a bit throughout the day and all gone. Less recycling, less mess and better for Them. Win win!!!

First year that we didn't buy eggs. We bought quite a few bars of Cadburys popping candy choc and gave money instead. We all really enjoyed being outside yesterday, talking to neighbours (at a distance) For us, it was the most normal day in weeks and the chocolate was entertaining.

I didn't buy any this year but I did send my daughter some 'letterbox' chocolate 🙂, sorry Dennab but she deserves it, my son got nothing 😞

lilyflower Don't apologise to me! Also, I'm sure a small letterbox sized parcel is the least of the Royal Mail's worries.

Glad the shutdown worked for your family. I didn’t buy any Easter eggs this year because I knew I couldn’t see the family. I will make up for it when and if this crisis is over. Count my blessing, at the moment, that no one I know has died from it.

I usually buy for all my nieces & nephews & my friends bairns, but this year just didnt bother. Not much point really. I bought 4 eggs. One each for my sons, the OH & myself. I didnt even get my nephew anything for his birthday but have promised to take him out when this is all over.

I couldn't reduce the number I bought this year, I didn't buy any last year, or the year before that ad infinitum either.

I can't really see much point in them, the last one I bought was hollow.☺

We didn’t buy any this year, and I don’t normally buy them unless they’re on offer. If they’re reduced well this week, I might pick some up as a treat
