You're correct Yahya - they might get you an apology but they don't get you your money back and don't appear to do anything about the rip off merchants actually committing fraud.
In my case it was some scammer who drained my pay as you go mobile phone credit - thousands of victims but no prosecutions. Fortunately for me it was only £4 but for some it was hundreds.
I find AF an agency to tell everyone "oh by the this many scams took place last year" Helps no-1. If you have been a victim of fraud (I have been countless times) message me and I can put in touch with the right people to help recover those funds via the bank's charge back system. The rules are so complicated that banks own staff don't know.
