Retailers Face Goods Shortages Ahead of Christmas - Scaremongering?
Ask a Question
There have recently been similar headlines Entertainer boss warns of Christmas shortages, Pigs in blankets at risk this Christmas etc
Do you think this is scaremongering of will there be genuine shortages ?
Luckily I buy throughout the year, but do you think prices will rise nearer to Christmas ?

Honestly im not that bothered as long as we have got a meal and we are together then im good
I'll put up with a few shortages in the shops this years, as long as we get a Christmas that somewhere near normal , Last year was dreadful with restrictions on seeing family & friends and not being able to go out anywhere.
Totally agree was you, I was already planning on sending my Christmas presents down to Wales early, so it doesn't get caught up in the December madness
This could be a ruse in order for them to justify putting up prices. We shouldn't really discuss it because it just spreads it more, people will stockpile and then there will be shortages and price increases.
There are shortages of lots of things now so unless somethings start to improve very soon there are bound to be some issues with some products at Christmas. Even without shortages I think prices will be going up for lots of things over the coming months as inflation is rising and energy prices are rising along with fuel prices so its not looking good for a while. Hopefully next year things will start to return to normal and things will settle down a bit (Im not building my hopes up though)
