Could We See a Return to the Great Chicken Crisis of 2018?

Nando's forced to shut dozens of restaurants and stop Deliveroo orders amid shortages in the supply chain.
Partly due to national shortage of HGV drivers and staff isolating. Are you noticing more shortages in your area ?
I am not surprised one bit. Our Tesco online ordering has very restricted number of items for chicken breasts and last week couldn't supply me with any - with no substitutes either. Im ok as I am vegetarian - but my son is an avid meat eater so we have to get him the stuff.
How long can we call these "teething troubles" before we can properly blame Brexit?
Oooo you aren't allowed to include Brexit as part of the problem, we could be feral scavenging for food before people blame brexit because we get shiny blue passports.
Just spotted this in the news , i think they are beginning to realise it now D

Due to lack of HGV drivers stores are struggling. So many people couldn’t get their HGV license due to Covid restrictions so now there is a back log. My husband also retired as a HGV driver like many others. He could make a fortune if I sent him back to work!
KFC also issued a warning last week that 'some of its menu items are currently not available at restaurants'. Hopefully, disgruntled customers won't be calling the police about it this time round. McDonald's have had the same problem for a while. I don't eat at any of these places, but many restaurants are likely dealing with the same problem.
