Do You Rinse Your Dishes after Washing It?

Ask a Question

I was brought up to always rinse the soap suds of with clean water. To me it makes sense. After all washing machine, dishwasher etc they all rinse the stuff off after washing? I think americans don't too. So to me it was rather shocking to see that a lot of people in UK dont rise their dishes after washing it?...๐Ÿ˜ฏ๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿด๐Ÿฅ„๐Ÿ”ชto me it tastes horrible if anyone makes cuppa in a mug which hasnt been rinsed off...do you rinse your dishes or just put them soapy on the drainer to air dry?...

I always wash the soap suds off after washing the dishes. When I order a drink in a restaurant I always ask them to rinse the cup first.

I do the latter and to be honest, I've never noticed a soapy taste if I'm having my morning Tassimo Costa.

Maybe I'm just a lazy get ๐Ÿ˜

Yes, you should always rinse after washing. Although when we had food tech in school, our teacher didnโ€™t seem to think so...

It is an alien concept to think that you wouldn't rinse each item after washing, especially when you consider how many dirty items have already been through the washing up water!!

That's why I use running water. I'm not washing stuff in dirty water. Of course, I still rinse afterwards.

I donโ€™t think that I could drink and enjoy my cup of tea or coffee if I didnโ€™t rinse it off my cup. Surely you can taste the fairy liquid ๐Ÿง

Rinse.. i remember when I was doing training in a nursery school for college and we would wash the cups by hand I just couldn't stomach giving the little ones after soapy cups ... I don't know what the other staff would do but when i was there I'd make sure I'd rinse them off

If I am doing then by hand, I do, but as I am lucky enough to have a dishwasher, I rinse before I put them in the dishwasher.

I remember of old fairy ad. Where it was a huge party and lots of greasy dishes. Then miracle sponge with fairy is used and it instantly clears up the grease and then they rinse it off ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ

I know this will cause a furore but since I was a kid ( over 60 years ago ) in my house we've always let the crockery sit in a bowl of urine before washing them in the sink . The acid in the liquid ensures all foodstuffs and bacteria are firmly removed from surfaces , once they've been rinsed in scalding water they are sparklingly clean and ready for use again . Never in all those years have I or any family member smelled or tasted p iss

Is this a joke? Who gets the job of urinating in a bowl or do you all just mix your bodily fluids? And if people are invited round for a meal...? ๐Ÿคฎ

Always rinse, never leave it with the soap. You donโ€™t know if youโ€™ve cleaned it properly!
