Robot to Do the Housework?
Other
Just watched Phil and Holly talking about Samsung's newly released robot which can, amongst other things, stack the dishwasher......the mind boggles.
We are constantly being bombarded with the message to keep fit, move more, and yet society is constantly inventing more ways to make us lazier than ever!
I remember the days when you actually had to get up to change tv channels, now mine are on constant standby, wasting energy because I can't figure out how to actually turn them off. Why do we even need standby, isn't on/off enough?
I do appreciate that time is important and more women work these days so I am not advocating a return to handwashing clothes or sweeping the floors, but I can see why we are so unfit these days.

I live in a bungalow, but I want a Stannah type thing to take me from the bedroom to the toilet to save me walking.
I'm not disabled or anything, but that's how lazy I feel since the first lockdown.
Lol. I know that feeling as I haven't walked again since bragging about my long walk the other day. Was determined to go out today but got up, looked out window, raining!
I enjoy doing the housework. I get a sense of satisfaction when I see the house all clean and tidy, which is a good thing as my toddler likes to make a mess! My husband too actually! I find the housework is a good way to keep fit
Exactly. Even if you are not doing a vigorous work out keeping moving is key and we have far too many gadgets that keep us chair bound these days.
Online shopping, remote garage/gate, remote pulling curtains, lighting and heating it is endless. We may as well be a bodyless head like a dalek or something.
I remember the days when I used to have to get up to rewind a video tape, sitting there holding rewind for what was an eternity.
And I'm only 28 so makes me feel even older lol
I could do with one of those right now. Not much time for housework after 6 hours homeschooling a day and doing laundry for 5
