Rock 'N' Roll Star?

Am watching Liam Gallagher on Sky Arts at the moment where he's playing the Isle of Wight festival.

He came on and said that he was a rock 'n' roll star and there wasn't many of them left.

Liam Gallagher, mind.

If you're a proper rock 'n' roll star, you don't need to say it yourself.

Just look at John Entwistle. That geezer took more drugs in one morning than Liam has taken in his life. And he died in a hotel room after taking a bucket load of coke with a prostitute.

Now that's rock 'n' roll.

And then there's Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood from the Stones. They haven't given a F, and don't give a monkey's.

Anyway, who's your favourite Rock 'n' Roll star?

I don't know if he was my favourite Rock n' Roll star but for me the epitome of Rock and Roll would be Mr Ian Kilmister a.k.a Lemmy of Motörhead.

I don't know how those latter two are living. Look at Ozzy as well. It's sad to see his health deteriorating from natural causes after the life he's had! Liam's just a typical loud mouthed Manc. That's not a bad thing because I find them quite entertaining and genuine but true examples of that are Bez and Shaun from Happy Mondays. I'll go with them as my favourite because they are rather entertaining on Gogglebox.

Saw them in Birmingham NEC at their prime.

TheChimp I daren't ask for any more detail on that but didn't get to see them myself. This year was supposed to be a big one acts from that era coming back to the stage. Maybe next year eh? Rowetta is still making music and very accessible to fans on Twitter if that's your thing.

Another one of the bands of the time that were banging was the Stereo MCs. Absolutely brilliant group even though Rob Birch looked as if he'd been taken skag 4 times a day for a solid year
