Thanks for sharing. I suspect there would have still been a backlog for this period, as there usually is. It’s one of the reasons I rarely use them for deliveries

I have been waiting for a parcel since mid November the tracking shows it is with the York Distribution Centre & you can't get through to speak to a person just a recording saying we have your parcel. 🤔

My area isn't jn there but we must have delays, I waited 14 days for an item that was sent Royal Mail 48hr service. I think lots of christmas gifts will be late this year!

I got a letter dated 11 November 2022 on 3 December 2022 with a second-class postage stamp.

jam45 The old stamps I sent to be swapped for the new ones took about 3-4 weeks. I thought it'd gotten lost.

I understand why they're on strike, but this is awful and even stressful for customers who may be waiting for parcels/letters with some urgency.

Can I point out that the list at the beginning of this chat is from December 2022. I do not know the current situation about delayed post.

PhilipMarc Yep, it's a bl**dy nuisance, juts thought I'd clarify incase anyone assumed the list of areas was current. I posted a 1st class signed for on Friday and it still hasn't arrived at destination and an item I should have received by Thursday 1st arrived this lunch time.

Royal Mail is prioritising certain types of letters and parcels (the more expensive services of course) so everything else is getting delayed. I had a parcel from aliexpress and it hit the UK sometime ago maybe the middle of November and it got delivered yesterday. I suspect such imports are the lowest priority because they don't get paid for them if they are letter post due to an international agreement.

I hope Royal Mail delivers mail today, at the very least, because it just keeps stacking and stacking.

I don't think I'll receive any important letter, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried about my mail. 😕

An item I posted on November 29 will be delivered today, December 13. And you know what, it should have been delivered within 48hrs, not 14 days later.

All these strikes, an unelected Prime Minister, charging people more for energy and taxes, a justice system that's more accurately injustice... The U.K. needs a total reform. Sigh.
