Rubbish !

Other

I’m lucky enough to live in the countryside. I’ve just been for a walk over Salisbury plain and was dismayed to see not only rubbish strewn everywhere including up in the trees but also broken glass scattered just about everywhere. Why do people do this 😡😡 Image Image

Probably someone drunk, did this.. or teenagers

Unfortunately, sometimes people can be uncivilised...

Some people just don't care which is sad

The wind wouldn't have been able to blow it into trees if some litter lout hadn't discarded it. Image

There was loads of it miles away from any houses right in the middle of the plain. I know there a real problem with fly tipping over salisbury plain. It just really saddens me.

Some people are selfish. They have no consideration whatsoever for our wildlife.

Hi nipperjwb. It's all wrong that people are doing this. I have the same here. The other day a very old caravan was dumped in supermaker car park. And very old dirty bathroom suit damped in a lay bay. It looked of full. Saw it in the papers. Other thing they like to do is dump dirty smelly nappy in the play parks were children play.. And we got a lovely river and people dump trolleys in there. I know it's wrong to laugh at it but I once saw a old tv in a tree. How it got there I don't no. Image

People should follow the cleanliness rules in the surrounding areas so it will be helpful to others to make a good environment 👍

I live near the New Forest and really can’t understand some dog owners, they pick up the dog mess and hang it on the bushes or low trees!

nipperjwb why even bother to pick it up. They obviously thick the bags compost themselves on the tree. JUST PUT THEM IN YOUR POCKET.

I live on the edge of the Peak District and so many animals and birds are dying from discarded rubbish and fires started by discarded cigarettes or disposable BBQs. It doesn't take much to take rubbish with you until you find a bin, if you carried it there in the first place it is no hardship to carry it back.

I'm amazed at all the youngsters that are taking initiative and doing litter picks, on my local news yesterday there was a 7 year old boy who had saved his money to buy a litter picker and he goes round is entire neighbourhood collecting rubbish, even sorts it into recyclable and non-recyclable and if sees anyone dropping litter he goes and asks them to pick it up.

I can't remember it being this bad in previous decades, probably to do with council budgets but we all need to make a stand. We should all pick up litter if we see it and discard of it properly (obviously wearing gloves etc), if people don't see litter lying around they are more likely to not create it themselves, of course you will get ones that don't care and carry on, but it does have a knock on effect.

nipperjwb it made me well up I'm not ashamed to admit and I have no maternal instincts, there was a girl (9 I think) a few weeks back too that put up poop bag dispensers and filled the dispensers up with biodegradable bags, again out of her pocket money. If we could clone those children the world would be a better place

So sad...we have a place like this not too far and the council should put up some bins there

This is a big problem, here in Cornwall, everyone seems to fly-tip but only because our local authority has made it very expensive to dispose of large items. Of course this doesn't make it right but it doesn't help!

That’s part of the problem here too. I’ve just taken my dogs out and have seen a fridge washing machine a freezer and 3 piece suit just dumped on the side of a tank crossing 😡

Setup camp, all you need now is a TV! Nah, I may joke but it is serious and makes the place look like a hell hole!
