lol tbh it sounds more nasty than it really is. Most bugs that are prepared for consumption are just crispy and nutty, so it is not different from getting a bag of mixed nuts
The reason us westerners find eating bugs disgusting is due to this practice going against established social norms. In many other countries such bugs are a healthy source of protein! As long as the crickets are well cooked I wouldn't mind trying this!
yes, I agree. It will certainly require people to come out of their comfort zone! Most bugs are prepared in a way that means you won't notice that they are bugs - usually roasted or deep fried
I won't be rushing out to grab these. Although, chances are you've already been eating bugs if you eat products containing E120 - Cochineal/Carmine, this red colouring is isolated from crushed insects
lol yes, I recall being a veggie in my teens and having the pizza flavoured Pringles, not realising the cochineal used for colouring was crushed beetles! I stopped eating those right away
