Santa Paws Santa Grotto for Dogs

Ask a Question

Has anyone else seen that Dobbies is doing a Santa Paws Santa Grotto for Dogs? My friend and I were talking about it earlier. I would not trust my dog at such a thing. She would pee in excitement, try and jump on Santa, run over to say hi to everyone, probably try and rip open the presents and who knows what else! My dog is well behaved but gets excited around people.

Would any of you take your dog to a Santa's Grotto? Would you trust them to behave?

Hat's off to any Santa that invites one of my 60kg+ Dogue de Bordeaux onto his/her lap 😅

I only have a Jack Russell but I would feel sorry for the Santa that dealt with her, they would be licked to death!

Turner and Hooch must be a brutal film for you to watch.

SilverSurfer It's a cracking film up until the last 15 minutes, I switch it off then.

blacklabrador Good shout. Have yours ever tried to destroy your house?

SilverSurfer Almost weekly 😆

No they are not too bad, the problem is their sheer size, so if they bump into something or someone, it tends to go flying

blacklabrador Ha ha lol. Is the drooling over exaggerated in film or do you have shoes full of drool?

SilverSurfer Oh no, there is plenty of drool, we have an old towel on the kitchen tiles otherwise it's like a skating rink.

Last year we found a strand of drool dangling from the lounge light, I don't even know how it got there.

Oh I have not seen this but I think if I took my Labrador I think I could trust her to behave

I got an email about it. I was really tempted to take her but then thought about it and realised it would be a disaster. I'm not sure how much it costs though.

Well my terribly naughty pug won’t be on Santa’s good list I’m sure , but I’m sure she would sit on Santa’s knee for food 😂😂🐶🐶🐶🐶

😂 don't think mine will be on the good list either. Even with a great or two I don't think she would behave!

I have just looked and it’s £6.99 for your dog to have a photo with Santa and receive a treat to

That's actually not too bad really, I was expecting it to be more than that.

Our local garden centre does this each Christmas Eve - never been though!

Pricing is more expensive than Dobbies:

"DOG & 3 GUESTS £10

You’re welcome to bring your own camera or professional photographs are available to buy as an optional extra. Photo with Santa: 3 photos for £20"

I had never heard of it before. That sounds quite expensive if you are buying the photos too.

FG280 we have just moved so not sure what the local grottos are like but the ones where we used to live were £15 plus the cost of the photo. According to my mum it was only £5 when I was younger.

I know, cuddles with loads of dogs would be amazing! I would hope so too, but people aren't always sensible.
