I've been really patting myself on the back since joining latest deals, saving so much money with ease, someone asked if I'm really saving money or am I buying more because I think it's a great deal not to be missed,
Got me wondering how many of us just want to get good deals on what we'd buy anyways, or how many think they buy loads more now because they're getting great deals?
I don't think my overall spending has changed much, but I do know I'm getting a lot more for the money I do spend using Latest Deals, both in terms of quantity and better quality goods (often built to last longer).
Yes that's very true, it's not always a cheaper price that's the best deal, often it's the better quality at a similar price which is great.
For example I recently got some girls leggings for £2 and thought great... Then saw next had the same at £2.50,which was a far better deal as I had to get rid of the others after a couple of washes but the next ones have lasted very well and could easily be good for another child
I haven't bought anymore than I normally would. When I need to buy something I will come on here, search for what I need. I am someone who only buys it if I actually need it!
Rebster my dad taught me from a young age, you buy it if you can afford it and if you actually need and if you can't afford it then you save for it. Dad hrew up when you didn't have credit cards and banks didn't really do loans, so he only had it if he could afford it and he taught us the same. My parents are brilliant with money, so I'm rather good too. I will look here and other places for deals. Depending what it is I buy second hand or can get a brand new one for a fraction of the price.
My spending hasn’t changed. I don’t buy things if I don’t need them. If I do need something I google as well because often what I want is elsewhere cheaper. Even though somewhere has a good deal on doesn’t always mean it’s the cheapest
That's a very good point, just because something looks like a good deal it doesn't mean that it's the best deal.. I think that's why the ability to comment on deals is good because you occasionally see someone writing that they found a way to get the deal cheaper
Definitely a fair point, when I got my house it came with an old Candy washing machine that was working great although a bit rusty, then on hotukdeals I saw a good offer for a Panasonic washing machine with a 5 year parts and labour warranty for about £240 after cashback etc, I didn't really need it at the time. I'm a sucker for a bargain on ebay, facebook marketplace, gumtree etc if I see something going really cheap. I always reason I can sell it for more than I paid but just end up hoarding stuff. I'm a gadget freak too, I love buying new gadgets playing about with them and then get bored of them and should sell them as soon as I'm bored with them but rarely do.
I should have my credit cards stored in a place with a delay lock so whenever I want to use them I have to wait 1 hour before I can get to them, by that time maybe my strong impulse to buy that item would have reduced. I like to think of myself as a common sense person but I am an impulse buyer for sure if its a bargain. I almost never buy anything at full price or close to full price. If I want something a lot but there are no offers on that item or no way to get a huge discount I will delay that purchase, sometimes its taken as long as 2 years to see an offer on an item I want so I'm the complete opposite for that. Games console is an example of that, I'd quite like a Nintendo Switch but have never come across one cheap enough for me. I don't see it as worth anywhere near £250 and probably would only pay between £100-150 and therefore haven't got one. I'm not bothered about it though, its not a product I must have. I didn't buy my PS4 and Xbox One until there was a large discount on the price.
Games are another thing that I wait for. Games come out for £40 and even if I want them I don't buy until they are normally sub £10 or even £5 which can take a year or so. Saying that if I really can't resist I will buy a game at a high price, play it for a while and then sell for close to what I paid and then maybe 2 years later when its £5 buy it gain.
I remember going without a fridge in my new home for a month or so because the type of fridge I wanted was in my eyes too expensive... But it paid off waiting as I would have been furious paying £600 when a couple of weeks later it was under £300, but with smaller or lower priced items, I tend to buy worried I'll miss the deal
I spend more time researching for bargains these days, so it helps to be on sites that can help you find good deals
Yes it's definitely great to know that you're on a genuine site with other like minded folks making it easier for us all to get the best deals. If I see a deal elsewhere I find I come here just to check it's the best deal I can get
If I see something that I think is a great bargain I would generally buy it and wouldn’t want to miss out lol
I think im the same, a few times I've tried to be sensible and think do I need it, can I afford it etc, then when I realised that yes I do want and need it and it's a great price, it's all gone pooof... So now I don't want to miss out, I tend to buy thinking if I end up changing my mind I can either return it or use it for a gift...
