What Was Your School Uniform?
Ask a Question
What colour was your school uniform when you were at school? Did you have to wear a tie? Did you mind wearing uniform or did you want to wear your own clothes?
My uniform was green but only boys had to wear ties.
I didn't have one as I wasn't in the UK. I like seeings the little kids looking smart and cute in their uniforms here
Navy blue skirt (straight, knee length), navy jumper (mine was hand knit), white long sleeve shirt, navy/pale blue stripe tie. Gym kit navy shorts and socks, pale blue polo top.
We had a navy blue pleated skirt (that most of us wore as a belt), navy blue jumper, a light blue shirt and a striped blue tie.. also, most often us added heels and long socks - we looked like St Trinians...
I remember being mocked in the changing room for wearing my sister’s pants
"Look, Johnny's got girls pants on!"
Oh the shame, the anguish
What was my mother thinking?
We had a winter uniform of a brown tunic, yellow shirt and brown and gold tie, brown coat and beret. The summer uniform was a yellow striped dress, brown blazer and a boater hat. I went to an all girls convent and the nuns were very strict about uniform.
Black trousers or a black skirt with black tights, white long or short sleave t shirt, schopl tie and vavy blue schopl jumper. When in yr11 we could wear navy blue short sleeved t shirt eith school logo printed on front
