What is something you wish they would have taught or allowed you to do at school that they didn't teach/allow you, when you were there?
I wish they would have taught us how to do taxes and that they would have allowed us (girls) to play cricket ..we played rounders instead which was fun but not as mainstream
PhilipMarc The word "of" doesn't annoy me, except when people use it instead of "have". It's becoming so common now that it appears that many people don't know the difference. My only upset with "of" is when people write it instead of "off".
Another is when people write "whose" instead of "who's". (encountered it again just a few moments ago).
Uniqueone I don't know why but I read this line with a Scottish accent in my mind 
SarahMcKnight but that werenβt so popular same as adhd which would be put down to bad parenting or just a little rascal.
Ann1984 totaly agree, there are so many things now that have came to light, I didnβt even think of adhd/autism etc, thatβs a very good point. The world be such a different place if we had knowen then what we do now
Race, probably.
People nowadays use terms like "white", "black", "brown" as races when at most it's skin colors and not even specific to one group only.
But I digress, I learned about it years later.

PhilipMarc I think colour is fine when describing race, just not ideal for describing ethnicity or nationality. I think the difference between the 3 should have definitely been taught more in depth.
I'm not too sure if it is politically correct to refer to someone's colour or race as "brown" - the word "coloured" which not too long ago was quite acceptable is now a definite no no.
Got to be careful exactly what you say nowadays, as far as I'm concerned it shouldn't matter what is said, but how it's said.
davidstockport 100%. People get too wrapped up in wording and not the intention in how things are said. I had an older lady at work call me half cast, didnβt bother me at all but a white woman who overheard the conversation lost her ****! 
Nothing more annoying than a snowflake that sticks their nose in, especially when it doesnt have anything to do with them.
Money/debt management...so many kids think money grows on trees! And i know many people who were offered credit cards at the age of 18 and took them and just used it like it was free money!
I agree that there really should have been more practical maths - money management etc which is crucial whereas so much of what was taught in maths and English was never used again. I am sure that 90% of the effort on teaching is to teach the next generation of teachers as they are the only ones which use most of what we were taught
I think the best thing to learn is about finance and how to manage financials. Something not touched on at school
I wish they'd taught me Welsh properly.
Even though I was in Wales, we only had to take it until the 3rd year, and being in a Comp, the class was full of morons, so we didn't learn much.
And after moving to a village where Welsh is spoken a lot more than the other places I've lived in, I feel like I'm missing out because I can't speak or understand the whole language.
TheChimp maybe you could try this language learning app duolingo .. I haven't personally used it but I've heard good stuff about it regarding learning other languages
Doing taxes would only apply to the minority as most would be PAYE but I do believe that financial matters should be taught in schools, then and now. Too many people are useless at managing their money and end up in debt or unable to to live an organised life.
Money, taxes, interest, debt, national insurance, setting up a business...useful things!
I remember having a little after school job and during the holidays I worked extra hours so I went over the threshold to pay tax/NI. I had no idea so I worked out exactly what I thought Iβd get paid...that was the most disappointing payslip of my life. 
Sign language and I think religious studies should be optional not mandatory.
I would like to have been taught basic car mechanics and diy skills. I went to an all girl school and we were taught sewing and cooking!
Ann1984 I have learned both Ann, but would have preferred to have learnt both whilst at school.
Rather than algebra I would have like them to spend more time on household budgets along the lines of Martin Lewis website so that I could have avoided the credit card debt of my youth 
More home making skills. Not everyone had a gran who could knit or whip up a pair of curtains or shorten trousers or make a fancy dress outfit. Knowing some of these earlier could have saved so much money
I like the idea of what they do in America where you can choose which sport you would like to do in high-school. I would have either chosen dance, yoga or cheerleading. Probably more towards the cheerleading, I love the outfit
I wish I wouldve been taught more about adult life and what to expect when we leave school
