Scooby Doo 50th Anniversary

Ask a Question

Wow I have not thought about the dopey cartoon dog or his clan for yonks! It wasn’t my favourite, but it was a staple to kids’ tv, and I have fond memories

did you ever watch the show?

I used to enjoy watching Scooby Doo, but was never a fan of Scrappy-Doo. I even enjoy the two cheesy live action films starring Matthew Lillard and Sarah Michelle Gellar. There is also going to be a big budget animated film titled Scoob coming out next year. The characters are being voiced by well known actors, such as Amanda Seyfried and Zac Efron.

Given how often Velma lost her glasses you'd think she would have used an eyeglass strap, always carried a spare pair and given her prescription to every optician in America 😉👓

Lol that’s true - being a glasses wearer myself, you’d think Velma would’ve sorted that issue out 😜 I think I watched that movie, but it wasn’t memorable, so let’s see if this new one will do it justice 😊

hspexy The first trailer for the new Scooby doo film was released yesterday. I'm not really a fan of the simplistic 3D animation -

ACR thanks for sharing that 😊 I think I would have to agree. The cartoon characters are indeed cute, but it looks like every other Pixar character out there. Not unique at all. Such a shame

I was addicted to watching scooby doo back in the day and would rather watch that than the crap that's on tv these days

Lol I agree, although tbh I only really half watched each episode as it usually followed the same predictable format. But it was light hearted and fun. These days, shows are just too in-your-face and not memorable at all. They really do try to ram characters down your throat these days with all the marketing skills they have. It’s almost like brain washing
