Scooter for a Toddler
Ask a Question
Anyone recommend a starter scooter for a 20 month old? Something foldable if possible and safe!
20 months is still a little young for a scooter. At that age they just don't have the co-ordination or balance for a scooter.
Technically no scooter is safe, especially at such a young age. Most scooters are designed for ages 3 upwards, with a few from 2 years up.
If you really want to get one then get a 3 wheel scooter as it will be easier to use, but there will still be a lot of falling over and some injuries, so a helmet is an absolute must. Also get one with an adjustable handlebar.
Have a look on websites like mother&baby and madeformums for scooter recommendations.
My youngest has been riding a scooter since age 1 I definitely recommend this one we didn’t use the seat or handle she know what to do straight away. All kids are different my oldest was riding a two wheel pedal bike by 4
