In the News

Its is one of the most celebrated dog breeds with monopoly pices to its name experts says the Scottish terrier is at risk after falling out of fashion. The number of Scottie being registered has declined by 38%.

it's a shame that we might lose the breed. They are a lovely dogs. And so are the white ones I do hope we will not lose them. What do you think about it and why. 🐕🐕🐕🐕

I dog sit a Scottie whenever her owner does away. She is an absolute sweetie. As the trend is for smaller dogs I am surprised they are not in more demand ... that said I have tripped over her a couple of times in the dark 🤣

Hi Jamala where I live a few people have them. I think people want smaller dogs that go in a handbag. Which the stars have made famous. The dog you look after sound nice. What's her name. 🐕

nicolajaynehend She is called Dotty and she's very lazy, she doesn't like getting out of bed until after 8 am so is often grumpy as I leave for work just after 6 and she comes with me!

I agree that it'll be sad to lose the breed, but I'm on the fence about these pedigree issues, as a lot of 'bad things' have happened to maintain specific breeds. Having visited a dog charity abroad recently, I don't think anyone should ever buy a dog for its breed - it makes better sense to adopt 👍
