Scrap Metal Vans

Do any of you have scrap metal vans go round your towns playing an annoying horn tune on a speaker which screeches ‘any old iron’.
I don’t mind them as they clear up metal from the street but I do kind them coming round blaring that stupid horn and tune at 9 o clock on a Saturday morning, have some respect for those who have been working all week!
Do you have scrap metal men and do they come round at silly hours?
Never had them playing noise/blowing their horns.
They are very efficient around here though, once you put something out it's usually gone within half a day.
This has made me realise I haven't seen any in my street for ages, although I could be at work when they come by. They usually ring a hand bell as they slowly drive along but I have never been woken by them.
Yep , ours too, comes around at least once a week, not sure exactly what they take as I've never used them , but I think they take old White Goods which is useful as our local council charges £20 to collect these
