Selected KFC, Burger King & Pret Delivery for public (NHS Freebies/Discounts)

In the News

On Tuesday, KFC announced that it had reopened some of its outlets for delivery only until the pandemic ends.

The chain said it had reopened 11 sites in total including outlets in Manchester, London, Birmingham, Portsmouth, Ipswich and Glasgow.

A spokesperson for KFC said it hopes to expand the scheme if it is deemed safe to do so by authorities

“Over the last week, we’ve reopened 11 of our restaurants in the UK,” the spokesperson added.

“They’re open for delivery only and are serving a limited menu, operated by fewer team members with new procedures in place to help ensure we’re following social distancing guidelines.

“There’s still a need for affordable, accessible food at this time – so we want to do our part.”

All staff working at the reopened restaurants will follow strict social-distancing and hygiene regimes, KFC said.

AgnesFaludi I’ve read the same especially in USA, they’ve kept fast food places open so that key workers have somewhere to eat. Lots in this country relied on McDs as they open very early. Really don’t understand why MCD, KFC etc closed as they do deliveries as already said

They‘re also giving freebies to NHS staff too chelseaturpin. Keep receiving emails from other fast food companies stating that they’re giving free food to the NHS. Don’t think other key workers are mentioned, a shame I know

chelseaturpin a family member is a key worker, not NHS & I’m really worried about safety. NHS inc doctors are most deserving as they are in direct contact with the virus, but all key workers - carers, retail workers, delivery drivers, bus drivers, cleaners etc etc are likely to catch it, as are exposed daily to people who might have it
