Sounds like a super mild shampoo, baby shampoo is the answer perhaps with more frequent washing. If that causes itches then perhaps there is some other reason like diet or something in the house that is causing it. Dandruff to a certain level is normal though, it's just the skin particles on your head getting replaced and getting caught in the hairs. All the skin of the body is replaced over time, is it a month or so? You can add a few teaspoons of apple cider vinegar to your shampoo, it raises the acidity I think which can help destroy some fungi infections and normalise the pH of your skin alternatively try adding it to a glass of water regularly and drinking it. Basically soaps and shampoos tend to be alkaline but your skin may benefit from a slightly more acidic shampoo to restore your skins pH level.

She might have psoriasis on her scalp? Both my daughter and I do. Maybe let the GP take a look? If it is, they can prescribe something. Certain foods exacerbate it, such as yeast and sugar. If it is psoriasis, normal shampoos will have little impact.

I and my brother both have this problem. I use two shampoos and that's it. I first use the baby shampoo from Lidl and the Cien Anti-Dandruff Shampoo Smooth and Silky. I find that I need to use both to help my scalp and for me using two shampoos do not dry my scalp out as some might think. I was my hair 1-2 times a week. I have used these two shampoos for 5 years now and I have no itchy and flaky scalp. If the baby shampoo from Lidl is not good enough I would recommend the baby Johnson's shampoo, either is good but the Lidl one is more affordable for me.

It is expensive but Oilatum scalp anti-dandruff shampoo is amazing. It was recommended to me by my doctor and it has worked wonders. It gets rid of the dandruff and soothes any itching as well. Its around £10 for a 100ml bottle.

Well I'm going to get her at the doctors coz I'm not sure what is coursing it as she's got skin coming of the bottom of her feet too

Leeann I’m sure your doctor will prescribe oilatum bath wash and something for her hair. Don’t worry it can be controlled.
