Many companies that hold giveaways on Facebook don't seem to realise that it is actually against Facebook policy for users to share the giveaway posts on their timelines as well as tagging friends in the post (I see this a lot on Facebook giveaways). I can actually see why, because tagging can become bothersome for that tagged person and a profile cluttered with shared comps can become boring for friends as well as maybe sometimes looking like spam.
That is really interesting, I didn't know that. I never tag people without their permission first as i know it would drive me mad if people did it to me. A lot of posts say tag X amount of people for more entries too. Thanks for posting this 
Tagging people continuously puts you at risk of a posting ban - Personally I don't tend to tag more than three people at a time and I never enter anything that gives you one entry per tag. I don't worry about being annoying as I only have other compers on my friends list. 
Companies are going to continue asking, regardless of the rules I guess because of the extra followers it generates.
