Shopping Addiction ?
Other
Iβm not the only person in lock down to keep ordering things canβt help it what is the most pointless item you have bought? I bought lots of socks
I haven't bought anything pointless. I'm not someone who buys things in on impulse, I only buy stuff that we need so I haven't bought anything unnecessary during lockdown.
Nothing pointless, I donβt think. If the shops had been open, Iβd probably get loads of things like socks too, as you can never have enough
My partner has a new found addiction to buying vintage football shirts.. racked up Β£1000 on a credit card so I forced him to start selling his old ones that donβt fit him.. managed to sell a few before he bought a few more...
I must admit I do spend, buying things for all the family not just myself. Last night or should I say early hours this morning I was browsing the JL site. Anyway I ended up buying a necklace, Rockport shoes and shoe polish. I am a bit of an addict. They were all bargains though.
Iβm this same Absolutely canβt miss a great deal on beauty and skin care products. My only guilty pleasure in life
Handbags, shoes and books are my weakness, I have a serious issue
My family have a tracking app for all of us so if we are in danger we can send our address and I dropped in to the shopping centre and like 10 minutes later my uncle sent me a picture of my shoes with the message 'no more shoes please crazy woman' . I have been rather good during lockdown though, I've only been out 3 times! It means I can buy double the shoes and books after lockdown
Pointless - any cosmetics or packs for games (think costumes, skins etc etc) - as some like to call it the cosmetic wars...
Seemingly pointless - any decor, but makes me feel good
I bought a set of hairdressing scissors which included a comb & razor thinners from Amazon.....I have no idea on how to cut hair or thin hair and wouldnβt even attempt it so Iβd say that was a pretty pointless buy lol x
It's alcohol for me
There's been a deal for Thedropstore that I saw today and I had to go for it because it was Welsh and supposed to be good quality.
I bought 3 bottles of gin and 1 bottle of vodka. Also got a bottle of Red Square Russian vodka for Β£10, so the total was Β£52 for 5 bottles of booze.
We have minimum pricing here, so I think that I've got a deal (my liver won't agree )
Pretty sure many are . We are in lockdown yet every day people (mainly women ) walk to the Post Office just round the corner with parcels under their arms . Returns I suspect . Is returning an order an essential journey ?
I am careful about what I buy to avoid going out to return things. I've been out once this week and it was essential, local council took away my FSM vouchers for no apparent reason and couldn't do it over phone
Golfforall they may be selling things to make ends meat. Hence the frequent visits to the post office
My other half told me today after 2 delivery vans arrived within the space of 10 minutes. One with 4 big boxes (blame Golfforall for them )that it was about time he took my bank card away. ( he was joking) I have deliveryβs everyday. I am a self confessed shopaholic but itβs my money, I earn it and as long as my bills are paid I can spend it on what I want. Being at home more I have definitely spent more online. There isnβt a day goes by that I donβt order something
Ann1984 definitely we have to blame someone. Wait till the next delivery comes. 200 kg of compost. Another of Golfforalls deals
I'm too busy with kids during lockdown but have spent more money by not being able to shop around. I started buying for my sons birthday tonight its April but I have a spreadsheet so dont spend more on one than others so won't go over budget. Just buying good deals at this point
Imnotcheap I bought some of my grandsons birthday last week. He is April also. He wanted more luigi figures and the new supermario castle. I got 25% off so just ordered it when it was on offer.
Never too early to buy good deals unfortunately it doesn't save my money they just get more presents heatherduthie
Imnotcheap Iβm no fan of wrapping unless you call putting it in a gift bag wrapping but I do love buying gifts for people. Especially my grown up kids and my grandkids. Love seeing a happy face
I don't think I'm buying things just for the sake of it or buying pointless things. I think I am shopping earlier for things than I usually would when I used to do my shopping in store, but not buying stuff I don't really want or need.
I'm buying earlier to get it on time we started doing a meal planner and buying appropriate things as we can't nip to shop to buy something
Imnotcheap You have to think ahead with shopping now. I have family/friends with birthdays in February, March and April, I've already bought most of what I want for them, as I'm thinking about how I'm going to be posting stuff instead of seeing them in person.
It's only our dog in February then my son April started for him last night angelik
I bought one of these spider catchers last year
Trouble is I've yet to pluck up the courage to use it as it still means getting within 2 feet of the spider.
And If I know nothing else of the eight legged demons, I know that it would run up the handle and bite me.
I am at that stage in life where I only buy new things if something is broken. Apart from presents for the grandchildren we have bought very little. My addiction is food shopping as I canβt resist a bargain. My eyes are drawn to every clearance sticker in the shop. If thereβs a cashback freebie in my nearest shop I get it. Not sure about the worst purchase but when I counted up recently I had 40 cartons of long life milk.
I have been buying "bargains" regardless of were a need it or not. I have spent loads on toiletries and now have at least 6 of everything, mouth washes, hand soap and deodorants etc
Plus lots of socks
Worst was collapsible bowls
Took months to arrive from China & the lids don't fit, pleased that it was a deal, so at least I didn't pay full price.
I am, Iβve brought so many things. Clothes, shoes and other stuff with no reason to wear them yet
