Shopping in Ikea - Do You like It?

Ask a Question

I absolutely love shopping around in Ikea. When it’s not too busy I enjoy popping into the showrooms, trying out the furniture, pretending I have a new kitchen...and then the food and drinks aren’t bad either - not the best, but definitely not terrible for the prices charged

But as you probably have to spend an hour or so an Ikea, I can imagine it’s not so pleasurable for some...

I probably hate it as much as you love it. I really like a lot of the things they sell but just cannot cope with the huge crowded shop. Lol.

I can imagine how horrid it is to be in a crowded Ikea. My last visit was during the week so it was empty, which made it easier to get to things. On a busy day, you probably couldn’t get out! Lol

Love it, always come out with things I didn't expect to buy though! The food alone is enough to make me want to go!

I ended up buying random snacks in their grocery section. They had new things and I couldn’t resist 😜

I do like it but I think what I like most is the cheap canteen 🤣 not somewhere we go very often even though we live near two actually but when we do go I love all the showrooms and stuffing my face with cheap hotdogs!

Omg I only tried the hot dogs for the first time the other day - only 50p! Tried the veggie one and that was good. Not bad for the price

I find it a mission to get through, no wonder they have arrows on the floor to guide the stranded 🤣 i do like ikea for storage furniture, rugs and bit & bobs. We have nearly finished decorating and are planning an ikea trip this sunday to get the final things 🙂

Lol I was following the arrows the other day and we still got lost, but that was largely due to the fact the store was being refurbished, so we ended up back in sections we’d been to previously. It just feels like a clever trick they’re doing to make you revisit sections to double check if you really don’t need anything...lol

hspexy 🤣🤣 ive done thst before. Ive tried to cut through sections to find a shortcut aswell and ended back up at the beginning 🙊 we just follow the arrows now. Make sure to sign up for Ikea family aswell its free and you get free tea & coffee Mon-Fri. Sometimes they have things reduced for members only. I only signed up because you get free insurance so if you buy something and it gets broken on the way home, putting it together ir in first couple weeks they will exchange it.

I love the Market Place and can’t resist buying a few bits and bobs from there especially the plants and napkins. My husband detests the shop and calls it a death trap waiting to happen!!! No clear signs and a nightmare finding things.

Lol they deliberately make it confusing so you’re stuck there looking at random things, thus forced to buy your way out 😜

My husband has the same feelings as yours. He hates going with me

No not at all. I think they have a good mixture of poor quality products with some over priced products with the odd decent bargain with an awful shop set up. It's near the top of my worst shops list
