Has anyone else sent for a hippo toy, I sent for one & not received, email address not recognised.....

I had a live chat yesterday, this is the response from Emma

I'm really sorry but there has been a delay on us receiving stock of our Hippo. There was a message at time of claiming on the site that there is a delay.

Due to the current pandemic, there has been a delay on the delivery of our products in to us. We are expecting to receive the stock in the next 12 to 14 weeks.

As soon as the stock does arrive in to our warehouse, your order will be sent out to you straight away.

The delivery I was given from Emma - see first post - was 12 - 14 weeks which takes us to end June - mid July. If you ordered 7 weeks ago I would assume you missed what they had in stock and are in next delivery.

I ordered mine on 21st march and still haven't received it. Personally I think its absolutely disgusting.

Thank you for the above reply this seems to message the original I received about 10 weeks ago,

Are you now saying there is a further delay of ANOTHER 10 weeks? If so I hope he has been well fed and will be the size of a Hippo.

Their reply

Again, I’m really sorry for the delay. But I’m afraid there is still a current lead time on this item of around 10 weeks, due to a further delay and issues with receiving the shipment.

If you are not willing to wait for the stock to arrive, we can cancel your order and issue you with a refund of the P&P paid.

Please let us know how you wish to proceed with this?

Again, we apologise for the delay with this, but this is out of our control.

We hope to hear from you soon.

Two options - wait, looks like end Aug/Sept (should be here for Christmas) or ask for refund enquiries@silentnight-bedding.co.uk you'll need your original order reference.

lilyflower They shouldn't have taken the orders if they didn't have the stock. Covid seems to be the excuse for everything these days.

I've just received an email to say they've got the hippos and should receive them by August. Must be a record for the longest delivery. We will see when August arrives. I should contact Guinness world records to see if silentnight deserve the award for rhe slowest delivery ever.😅😅😅

rossruby1977 I personally think it's disgusting to leave people waiting for five months, and that's if they arrive then. I'm not bothered about the money it the principal. Have a nice day.

It's been such a long wait for these that I'm not even sure if I ordered one. 99% sure I did so I'll be looking out for a likely sized parcel arriving 🦛 🤞 .
