Simply Cook and Similar
Ask a Question
After spending the last hour trying to unsubscribe I started wondering if other people think they are worth the money?
I got a box for a £1 instead of £9.99 so gave it a try but I have to buy most ingredients and cook it myself so just for flavourings his can they charge so much
The advert is sooooooo misleading.
It's says that you need to add a 'few' ingredients, but when it comes down to it, you have to add EVERYTHING except the spice mixes that you get.
And I'm not quite sure where they're getting 'cook in 20 minutes' from.
I certainly wouldn't subscribe at £9.99
Exactly. I remember the first time I saw that offer, I think it was in 2016.
When the box arrived I thought, "Where's the food?" hahahaha
As you said, a few ingredients are 95% of the value of the recipe
I wouldn't pay £9.99. I have taken a subscription once with simply cook. After I gave my offer code out & I receive a free box from time to time. I really like the simply cook vietnese pork but I just buy the kit now when it's on offer at Tesco for £1.50 if I don't have a free box.
TheChimp I've had a few boxes and yes, they do only take the time stated on the recipe mine have all been 25 -35 minutes. It was these boxes that started me on my curry cook book hunt. I opted for a '4 person' box and made each recipe do twice.
TheChimp Yes around abouts. As Lilyflower said most the kits do take around 20-30 mins.
I would never get a subscription for a food box. They are far too expensive for what you get. I can go and buy the spices and the other ingredients needed for probably the same amount as they charge.
