Six Things That Are Currently Booming in Sales

I understand the first 5, and I sort of understand the 6th, although I’m not a coffee lover so I don’t fully have the same need for caffeine
but judging by how empty the shelves in stores are, any home brew stuff would be popular
are you also buying items in these 6 categories?
I have been buying stuff to do my garden am going to attempt to lay artificial grass may turn out wrong but I can say I done myself with pride
Have fun! I think anything you’re able to do on your own without help is commendable. Years ago, I tiled one wall of the kitchen relatively well...then had to get help to do the other walls
I haven't bought any of those items as I don't need any of them. Got plenty of things already in the house to keep us entertained, don't need new garden stuff and we don't drink coffee. My best friend bought herself an exercise bike as she can't go to the gym just now. My friends have been more interested in wine than coffee! And buying hair dye so no one knows their natural colour!
Ah alcohol has definitely been something a lot of people have been buying, and I guess it’s just to ease the burden of being stuck indoor But hair dye? I guess if people now have the time to do it
hspexy it is down to vanity in the case of my friends. They are barely going to see anyone but don't want people to know their real hair colour! My mother in law needs her roots done, she couldn't care less how they look right now and this is a woman who is meticulous about her hair! Certain things just aren't important right now.
Snap. We use an app for Daily Yoga. We have Spotify for music. Plus, I have Headspace for meditation and calmness. Pretty much got all bases covered.
Popping into the garden has been lovely. Just getting our hedges into good order. We'll be back to it once our green bin has been emptied tomorrow.
I would recommend having a simple schedule of activities to keep spirits up. It's certainly working for me at the moment. We do try and get an early morning daily trot which gets everything moving too.

MrsCraig You got this! All is well again today after the hellish news that our food order from Ocado had been cancelled for all priority customers. So I am now officially shopping local via my Coffee Shop's suppliers. First-world problem, but we do have to eat.
I had to queue at my local Co-op at 7am this morning. All very organised; we managed to buy a couple of bits to keep us going. Mainly veggies.
Xx
Ceebers we are using our local corner shop when we need items. I can understand that it must be frustrating for your order to be cancelled yet at the same time understand why they have done it, but as you say you need to eat.
Our local co-op has always been really good when we just need a few items. My mum had to queue at her local Sainsbury the other morning, even though it was during the OAP hour and she is an OAP. She didn't mind though. Xx
I imagine, going by many of my friends & family the sale of alcohol will have shot up. I think half the people I know will be alcoholics by time this is all over.
Lol I certainly have been drinking more recently...only because it’s cold and I hear whisky is good...and might fight off any possible ailments...
I don't think I really spent more on any of these items. I've spent more time in the garden mainly clearing and tidying all the bits I usually put off. I've read more but I still have quite a pile of books to get through. I always drink lots of coffee but I'm trying to limit that to a degree.
I havent bought any of these since weve been on lockdown ive ordered a little tikes picnic bench for my daughter, a pair of nike vapormax trainers for my son, a plastic tea set, some batteries and a few iphone cables
I've only been buying food & drink and the only coffee I've been getting is the chilled canned variety. One thing that probably won't make the list is Easter Eggs. I noticed M&S have already introduced a 20% discount on their Easter Eggs/ confectionery range. I hate to think about all of the chocolate in the nice chocolaterie shops going to waste.
Yes I’ve noticed too, although most of these chocolate items just get sent back to suppliers and they just get melted down to be made into some other product. One of the reasons why they don’t get reduced by much these days
I have not bought anything unnecessarily recently, as I have everything I need. The craziness is when everyone starts throwing everything out at the end of the year, which is wasteful
I suppose with people working from home they’ve had to but it rather than rely on the office supply of teas and coffees. I’ve got tea bags in excess so maybe now is the time to get drinking
No surprise bicycle sales and servicing is up, I see buses going around and they look like incubators for spreading the virus as does any public transport really. Not only that but cycling will improve people's fitness and lung capacity so if they do get covid-19 they will have more chance of surviving it a double win so it will reduce your chance of getting it and improve your chances if you do. I keep an eye on bike prices and some have been drifting up a bit maybe retailers are worried about getting replacement stock or with the pound decreasing in value new stock will be more expensive.
E-bikes were starting to grow in popularity and can see them positively booming now for those who have to commute some distance but want to still remain fresh when they get to work and used to use public transport. Not forgetting regular exercise can add over 7 years to your life expectancy and of course e-bikes can save you a huge amount in public transport or car costs which might be important in the coming recession where wages are likely to fall.
