So Cross with Myself!
Other
Wanted to do my grocery shop yesterday thinking to keep Sunday clear. But I had a £6 off a £60 spend voucher which started today, so I went this morning.
Yes, you guessed it, I totally forgot to use it. To add insult to injury I got back to my car and realised I had not cashed in my parking ticket so I have now lost out on £7.50.
I wish getting old didn't mean getting forgetful.
I've done this. Forgotten to use a voucher or found it the day after it has expired. It is so annoying. Luckily my son likes to empty out my purse, so I haven't forgotten about any of them recently.
That's definitely annoying, go to use a voucher and you have left it too late, guilty as charged.
You're not alone, think the majority of us have done it. I keep any vouchers with the loyalty card or bank card now as I know I will have to use them, thankfully haven't got to the stage where I walk out of a shop without paying yet
I can't even say I didn't as an excuse. The voucher and car park ticket were right by my debit card lol.
Easy done, I think we've probably all done this in the past, I certainly have, especially when your heads thinking about the shopping that your getting and packing it. Sometimes it all seems a bit of a rush and easy to forget that voucher hidden in your purse.
Yes, I am very conscious of trying not to hold up the queue as I am sure I can hear their minds ticking over 'silly old woman'.
Feeling your annoyance. Age has nothing to do with it - with everything else going on in my head, I've carried round coupons and vouchers until they are dog-eared and out of date only to get home and slap my forehead. I've been using Shopmium for a few months now and that is more successful than paper vouchers. (that was a lot to miss out on )
Yes exactly, I got involved with the cashier trying to work out the app on my phone as I had a few offers on it, so was distracted. Don't even know if I got the bonus points as they don't appear immediately. However very glad it is not just me lol!
I've done this once or twice and been traumatised for the next 48 hours. The other one that annoys me is I've just done a large shop somewhere and come home to find I've received vouchers for the same shop in the post.
That really ticks me off. But also you get vouchers at the till for extra points, on stuff you just bought!
Lynibis Yeah I've had that too. My local coop gives me vouchers for discounts on stuff I just bought. I bought a ginster pasty and some walkers crisps and I got a voucher for 50p off ginster products. By some fluke I actually went into the coop again within a week and remembered the voucher when I bought a pasty and walkers crisps again and at the till I got a voucher for 50p off walkers crisps. Really annoying. It's like I'm constantly wasting 50p savings. I reckon for about 20 vouchers I've been given at Coop for stuff I buy I've only used such a voucher once. I know its to try to train me to come into the coop more frequently but its actually quite annoying and puts me off coop a bit.
Ugh I hate it when I do stuff like this. I literally kick my self for the rest of the day. Heyho there's always next time
Oh it’s so frustrating when I forget to use a supermarket voucher. Last year I was lucky that Waitrose sent me lots of coupons but I’ve not received any this year.
I get Waitrose vouchers but must admit it is not my store of choice so I very rarely use them. I never seem to find the things I want and their fruit and veg section is no better than elsewhere but significantly dearer.
Lynibis I agree with you regarding the price of their veg. I usually buy what’s on offer in Waitrose and freeze the meat. I love their chicken Kiev’s so stock up on those when I have one of their vouchers. In fact I’ve taken out of freezer this morning chicken Kiev’s, chicken breasts and mince all from Waitrose.
Forgetful nothing to do with age i'm forgetful now at 25 lol it happens. I forgotten things in similar situation to yours.
