Social Media Break.

Other

I’ve recently come off of social media, Facebook to be precise. I was told that it really effects our mental health and I have noticed a positive improvement. Im Just curious to know wether anyone else has come off of it and felt better for it.

Hi lauren958. When I got my tablet last year. I said I would never go on face book . And I stuck to my words. I think is bad for your health. And there are a lot of bullying going on face book. I would not feel safe on face book. Are you going to keep of Facebook now you feel better in your self. 🤗🤗

i agree with you! I found myself checking Facebook so mmany times and then id be feeling awful because everyone’s lives seemed to be much better than mine oh it really made me feel so bad some days. I don’t intend on going back on it definitely not in the foreseeable future!

Twice I have signed up to facebook and twice I have deleted my account........there will not be a third time. I wasted so much of my time making and reading inane comments that do not enrich my life in any way, shape or form. I am not interested in knowing what anyone had for dinner, let alone seeing a photo of it. I do not need to know the minutiae of even my best friend's life, let alone strangers disguised as 'friends'. Also, I do not like the swearing, rudeness and vulgarity.

The only thing I would like to use it for are the competitions but will not sign up for it again as I know I will be dragged into the mire once more. Even my young adult granddaughter deleted her facebook account as she found it had a negative and detrimental impact on her life.

I liked to sell and buy stuff on there but I will find other ways to do so. I’m only 24 and myself and a few others around my age have also noticed the negative impact. It never used to be that bad when I was younger. Or maybe I’m just less tolerant now.

I think face book is a place for people to make out their life is so good and happy when really they probably just sad. People lie and exgerate the true! I run my business via a Facebook page so have to have a personal account but I rarely look at it. Like you I don’t need to know what people are eating for breakfast lunch and dinner!! 🙄🙄🙄 you don’t need Facebook if we just talked to people and people seem to be doing that less and less. Good for you coming off it and glad you feel it’s had a positive effect 😃😃
