Is There Something U Want to Learn but Think Ur Too Old
Other
Id love learn how to speak a foreign language but not got patience now tbh . Would be good go abroad n understand what they are saying
I'd love to be a free runner or do all those wonderful acrobatic things that olympic driven gymnasts can do...but alas, I think I am too old, and the bones do not heal as well as if I were a nipper
I never learnt to swim, would like to learn. I did try once a few years ago but it didn't work out.
Swimming does appear to be a skill more easily learned by younger people - I have personally taught 7 year olds to swim in one or two lessons (the following week receiving their 25 yard certificates). But although it usually takes a little longer older people are never too old to learn.
Most mammals can swim quite naturally without any training - my theory is that swimming's a skill we all once had... but forgot.
I'd love to know how to ice skate. 24 and it scares the living shit out of me because I genuinely always feel like I'm going to fall over and smash a bone.
Go for it! I used to ice skate in my teens... after you've smashed into the perimiter barrier a few times you'll get used to it, it even encourages you to learn how to change direction. (I never mastered how to go backwards... deliberately... though)
I always thought ice skating was easier than roller skating - ice rinks are usually smoother than those for roller skating, they're much more slippy though.
